Who we are
Volmora (“the app”) is developed by Damian Skiba (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles and how. If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].
Automatic collection by the app
Volmora does not automatically send usage analytics, drive contents or diagnostics to the developer. The app contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or tracking SDKs and requires no separate Volmora account. Purchases use Apple’s services. Support messages you send us are described separately below.
Your files and drives
The upcoming App Store edition accesses supported NTFS, ext2, ext3, ext4 and XFS volumes locally through its FSKit extension. It writes to NTFS volumes only when you enable write access; the Linux providers are read-only. Volmora does not upload drive contents to the developer. What you do with files in other apps, including copying them to cloud storage, is outside Volmora’s control.
Information stored on your Mac
The app keeps a small amount of information locally so it can work properly:
- Preferences — your settings in the app, stored in the standard macOS preferences system.
- Operation logs — technical records of mount, unmount and error events (for example, volume names, device identifiers and error codes). They never contain file contents and stay on your Mac.
- Disk information — volume size and free space are read to display them in the app.
Deleting the app does not necessarily remove preferences, system logs, shared local state or diagnostics archives you exported. Those files may remain on your Mac.
Diagnostics you choose to share
The app offers an optional Export diagnostics action in Settings. Volmora describes the information included and asks for confirmation before export. The archive contains volume names, device identifiers, disk capacity and free space, app and macOS versions, extension status, operation logs and session status. The exporter does not copy files from your drives. Review the archive for sensitive names or paths before sharing it.
The archive is saved to a location you choose. Nothing is uploaded automatically. If you decide to send it to us when asking for help, we use it only to investigate your issue and delete it when it’s no longer needed for that purpose.
Purchases
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Volmora does not collect your card or bank details. The app uses StoreKit product and verified transaction information, such as the purchased product, expiry and revocation status, to determine access. Access status is shared locally with the file system extension. Apple’s handling of purchase data is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.
Network access
StoreKit uses Apple’s services to load products, process purchases and restore access. Opening a support or privacy link can open a website in your browser; sending a support email uses your email service. Neither action uploads drive contents automatically.
Support emails
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it to reply and investigate your issue, not to add you to a mailing list. Email service providers also process correspondence to deliver and store it. You can ask us to delete our correspondence.
Children
Volmora is a general-purpose utility, not directed to children. The app does not request a date of birth or include advertising or analytics SDKs.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data through the app, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For any data you have sent us by email (including diagnostics archives), you may request access, correction or deletion under applicable law, including the GDPR, by contacting [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app’s release notes.
